Counselling Trainee Placements

Who we are 

Since 1992, Lifelink has been providing support to adults and young individuals in order to facilitate positive transformations in their lives. Our aim is to empower them to effectively manage stress, conquer anxiety, and overcome depression. We have established partnerships with schools, health and social care organisations, the NHS, and local businesses, which has allowed us to expand our infrastructure. Currently, we are able to assist over 8,000 individuals annually through individual counselling and group wellbeing sessions.

What we expect of you

Essential Requirements 

  • Work within Lifelink’s policies and procedures
  • To have completed or be in the final stages of their readiness to practice
  • To work towards providing a minimum of 3 consecutive client sessions per week by week 6 of placement
  • Work within Lifelink’s policies and procedures
  • Be a student member of an appropriate membership association e.g. BACP, BABCP, COSCA.

Counselling trainees are strongly encouraged to attend 2 hours of Lifelink clinical group supervision per month

 

Currently Studying

  • Doctorate in Counselling qualification - Year 2 students onward
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling or CBT
  • Masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy
  • Higher National Diploma in Counselling
