One to One Counselling for the Deaf Community

What is the service?

The One to One Counselling service for the Deaf Community ensures that your communication needs are met. Our sessions are offered via British Sign Language (BSL), Sign Supported English and lip-reading. In the video below, Stephanie, one of our counsellors, and Paul, from Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership, explain a bit about the new service. 

What should I expect from counselling?

The video below explains what you can expect from us when attending counselling sessions with Lifelink, and also what we expect from you in order to make sure that you receive the best possible service.

How do I access the service?

You may refer yourself directly into our services or be referred by your GP, Health Practitioner or an organisation in your community. Initial telephone communication must be made using the CONTACTscotland - BSL service but we can arrange subsequent communication via text. To refer yourself you can:

  • Use the CONTACTscotland- BSL service to contact us on 0141 552 4434

This service is available for adults aged 16 or over and who are resident in Glasgow.
