Professional and Ethical Standards

Lifelink is an organisational member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We ensure that all our counselling practitioners are accredited by BACP or an equivalent professional body or have a timetabled schedule towards achieving accreditation and are supported to do so.

We are committed to ensuring all practitioners employed by Lifelink are professionally trained and fully qualified in their field and are insured to practice.

All counsellors are provided with professional clinical supervision to support their safe and ethical practice, in accordance with the BACP guidelines.

Our supervisors are all highly experienced therapists who have specific supervision training and maintain counselling supervision skills and practice. They also provide group supervision to student and volunteer counsellors.

All counselling staff adhere to the ethics of BACP and the NHSGGC counselling standards (PDF here) and other ethical bodies appropriate to specific therapeutic practices.
