Relax and Revive
Using the principles of mindfulness; a state in which one is highly aware and focused on the reality of the present moment, accepting and acknowledging it, this course aims to teach people to approach stressful situations ‘mindfully’.
What is it?
This series of four 2-hour relaxation workshops provides an excellent opportunity for participants to experience first-hand, the various forms relaxation takes and the benefits it can have. During the course participants will be introduced to some basic principles of mindfulness.
Mindfulness is a useful tool to help focus the mind and avoid being distracted by thoughts of certain situations or the emotional reactions to them. It aims to teach people to approach stressful situations ‘mindfully’ so they may respond to the situation instead of automatically reacting to it.
This 4-week course provides an opportunity to learn some relaxation techniques and discover a little about living life ‘mindfully’.
What should I expect when I attend?
This course is delivered in a relaxed and informal learning environment. The trainer will discuss benefits of relaxation and concepts of mindfulness with the majority of the class given to the trainer delivering relaxation exercises and facilitating group discussions. This relaxation will be seated with no requirement to bring a relaxation mat. Some discussion and feedback from participants is encouraged but not compulsory.

Our Relax and Revive course gives you the opportunity to take some time out of your busy life and unwind in a safe and supportive environment. All our courses are delivered within a group environment so you must be willing to participate in group exercises. Our course facilitators are extremely experienced however they are not trained counsellors and so are not able to offer individual therapeutic support.
Our courses are completely free of charge to those living within the Glasgow City Council area.
We are able to offer our courses free of charge to Glasgow City Council residents due to the funding we receive from Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership. This unfortunately means that we are currently unable to offer a place on any of our courses to anyone that doesn't live within the area that we cover.
