Join our Distress Brief Intervention Service as a Support Worker
We are delighted to be a Level 2 delivery partner in the Scottish Government pilot of a Distress Brief Intervention Service that aims to offer an “ask once get help fast” inter-agency response, support and problem solving service to people in distress.
We are looking for a DBI Support Worker to join our award-winning team, based in our Coatbridge office in North Lanarkshire. This role will be responsible for engaging with and supporting clients experiencing distress across the North Lanarkshire area who have been referred by a DBI Level 1 Practitioner.
You will provide compassionate problem-solving support, helping clients to manage their distress and supporting their ongoing wellbeing by use of distress management plans and wellness tools. Working with a range of partners and services, you will be knowledgeable about local service provision and developments, signposting and supporting clients in accessing appropriate services and giving them the information needed to support their ongoing emotional resilience. Travel around the North Lanarkshire area will be an essential part of the role.
With a focus on achieving and evidencing positive client outcomes, you will deliver support to clients in a range of venues. As an ambassador for Lifelink and the DBI Service, you will maintain positive working partnerships and contribute to the development and marketing of the service and wider organisation.
