Mike is an experienced Head of Communications and freelance writer who has worked across a number of sectors (justice, health, children’s, the arts) in both London and Scotland.
He has a post-graduate degree in journalism and is passionate about communicating about issues that impact everyday people. He is a strong advocate for promoting better mental health, which brought his interest to Lifelink. Mike also has a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills from the University of Strathclyde, and recently trained to qualify as a life coach.
Outside of his day role, Mike is also the Chair of the Arkbound Foundation, a UK-wide charity committed to breaking down barriers into book publishing for socially excluded people.
As an avid life-long learner, Mike is never done with completing courses and qualifications. When he isn’t reading and reviewing books in relation to self-improvement and mental health, you can find him running the streets and parks of Glasgow. He has completed the London Marathon twice, but swears ‘never again’.
