Introduction to Lifelink Adult

Everyone needs somewhere to relax and take a break from everyday life. From time to time most of us face difficult life circumstances which create stress, and we all know the effect that can have on our health and wellbeing.

At Lifelink we off er a range of programmes and treatments to deal with stress, cope better with life’s challenges and provide the space to help you unwind.

One-to-one Stress relief & Management programmes

Depending on what will best meet your needs your one-to-one treatment programme can include one or more of the following:

Massage

Through massage we learn where tension is held in the body and work towards releasing it. It is a very rewarding and nourishing treatment, gently releasing tension from the muscles and improving overall wellbeing.

Aromatherapy oils may also be used as part of the massage process. If you’re a little nervous about a full body massage we also offer hand, foot and face massage.

Reiki

We all get out of balance from time to time - Reiki is a form of healing which helps balance our body’s physical, mental and emotional energy. Therapists use touch to channel and rebalance energy that has become blocked, allowing our brains and body to function freely.

Relaxation

Personal time is important. Focused relaxation teaches people how to relax and remain relaxed in stressful situations.

Acupuncture

Treatments vary from relaxing tension in the muscles to directly stimulating internal organs and balancing energy fl ow. Generally used alongside other therapies, acupuncture works particularly well for people who have stress related physical problems or illnesses.

Counselling

The counselling process is unique to each individual in their personal circumstances. We can help you to understand and manage your feelings, thoughts and reactions and improve your problem solving and coping skills.

Everyone is Unique

Our programmes fall into 4 main categories which are then tailored to meet individual needs.

You can attend for only one or progress through all 4 programmes. During your fi rst one-to-one consultation we will discuss your personal situation and agree upon a treatment programme tailored to meet your needs, which may include oneto- one work and/or group work.

Stress Management

This programme will help you to tackle any underlying causes of stress and improve your stress management skills and personal wellbeing. It will assist you to overcome obstacles, solve problems and make positive changes in your life.

Stress Relief

For those who are feeling generally stressed and harassed by everyday living. This treatment programme will include one or more therapies to help you to: discover where and how stress builds up, take time to learn how to relax and begin to relieve the symptoms of stress.
